Ruth Spaulding, Owner and NC LMBT #11687
After a career in both corporate and non-profit arenas, Ruth shifted gears to follow her curiosity about human anatomy, healing and massage. On the first day of school, when students were asked to give their very first massage, Ruth felt a “knowing” that she had been “called into service” as a massage therapist. Upon graduating in 2011 she immediately opened Touch of Serenity Massage Therapy.
Ruth offers customized massage sessions employing various modalities including deep tissue, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Active Release Therapy, and neuromuscular-based therapy. Her style is slow and intentional so she can better “listen” and feel what the body is telling her and where it guides her.
Described by several clients, doulas and midwives as the “baby whisperer”, Ruth loves serving women through all prenatal phases including fertility, prenatal, labor induction, and postpartum. In fact, while Ruth serves all populations, she has a fondness for serving women at all stages of life.
A native of New Jersey, Ruth relocated to Greensboro over 30 years ago. Ruth enjoys staying fit, hiking, learning, and spending time with family and friends. Book now with Ruth.
Dana Spaulding, NC LMBT #19797
Dana pursued a career in massage therapy after education in other fields that weren’t quite right for her. Never having given or received a massage, she felt guided to it. Being told “no” her first time looking to be accepted in a massage therapy school, she continued to pursue.
In 2016 she was accepted into Indiana Massage College, after giving and receiving her first massage she knew she found what she loved to do. In school she was given the nickname ‘Small but Mighty’ by one of her instructors for her ability to get deep into the muscle tissue.
Dana graduated in 2017 with a diploma in Medical and Sports Massage. She has since worked in both a spa and clinic setting, using a combination of modalities including swedish/relaxation, deep tissue, fascial manipulation, stretching and trigger point techniques to enhance your healing experience. She believes that healing starts with your belief that you can feel/get better and she is here to help aid you in your specific health journey.
Dana moved back to North Carolina in November 2021 and enjoys being in nature, reading and working out. Book now with Dana.
